You will be surprised that Ask.com won't accept any URL submission to the search engine.They mention that the best way to get in their index is by getting linked by sites that are pertinent to the subject. Its crawler just goes round the web from link to link to get new and important content. So all you got to do is to post relevant content to the topic that you are posting in your site.

That is a little surprising. I've never heard of them refusing somebody until they've been linked to. If you build some good links to your website, you should rank well in many search engines. I wouldn't worry so much about not being indexed in ask.com - you really want to rank in google though.

Being indexed in ask.com is only a milestone to get indexed high in Google.
