Whether you like to admit it or not, beautiful girls will surely attract attention and so it is wise to use them to attract traffic to your site. What do you think if your site URL is featured prominently in those t-shirts that are worn by them? I am pretty sure everyone will take a look at the girls and also your URL. Even though it might not bring instant traffic, I believe if people get to see your URL often, they will surely visit your site one day as repetitive exposure will bear its result. If not, why do you think those big companies continuously advertise in the TV?

While this is good if selling to males under 90, it has a tendency to turn off the women with good spending power, which will be those ladies over 30.
Just change the picture when addressing that audience! |

Sagemother, perhaps you have a point there. But I rarely see people using handsome men to promote anything. Most of the time, sexy and beautiful ladies are featured everywhere. I can find them in shopping complexes, trade shows, exhibitions, retail shops, magazines, TV commercials and even in the street doing some goods promotions.
What does everyone else here think and find? |

I already see women's magazines using "regular" sized women in some of the foundations/underwear ads. |

Well, sorry to say that there is still a gender bias when it comes to advertising. They may be "regular" sized women in the magazines but they surely looks beautiful and "solid" to me.

I think that people (men) may well look at the beautiful women, but not even SEE your URL at all. I'm not sure if this the best marketing ploy for your website.

NEVER ever use a mobile number for your business unless you are a mobile hairdresser as they look so silly in a business and so not cool please just wait for your number hehe
Best of luck Austin |

Maybe a combined picture of a male and female? Shouldn't be any harder than that.

Sex sells, that true but as we have seen lately with the 'Old Spice' adverts it works on both women and men equally. Both sexes enjoy looking at toned beautiful bodies of the opposite gender (some cases the same gender) and if used with a little humour, like with 'Old Spice' the secually is not the centre of the advert but just a part of the overall concept.
We have used beautiful at our trade fairs for years, but that is largely because top level management is laregely a male dominated world. This year however we also had a mal model which proved mega popular in atracting female attention. Don't make it the centre of your advertising and it can work well for you and add some fun to your marketing efforts. |
